Funnywoman JENNIFER COOLIDGE has developed a bad habit of hurting herself on set to make sure she doesn't laugh during key comedy moments.

The American Pie star digs her nails into her wrists to stop herself collapsing into giggles, and she is often left with nasty bruises all over her arms.
She tells The Guardian, "I take my nail and I dig it deep into my vein in my wrist. I sometimes have these very dark bruises. But sometimes it doesn't matter what pain you're inflict on yourself; when there's pressure not to laugh, you do the opposite."
