I joined the star making plan without doubt, cuz I believe it will give me much more than I gained in 7days class. That’s it. Then after waiting for one month, it started. We, the new members, who are full of passion gathered around in the Teaching Building 10, wait for the changes.
David became our teacher again, I like his style. I didn’t trust him at time but I admire him very much. It makes me feel warm cuz I also have this feeling in Lord.
Then after the meeting, I know we are starting to be change. Firstly, English only which is a very big challenge that I was going to face. Speaking English is fine, not a big deal, but what if we have to speak English only for half year? Well, for me the problem is not how to speak, I know how to speak. The problem is how can I open my mouth when I face my parents, grandparents? Turns out, I can make it, and I did make it. Speak English helped me make a lot of friends. I got lots of friends because of English, Maryia, Seth, Sunny, KK, Dannies, Kobe. I had a good time with them. What’s more, I become more and more brave and active in the public places. I made a speech in Peking University when I was in BeiJing. I got a higher service due to my good oral English. Some guys who are the same age as me admire me, appreciate me, wanna make friends with me. I also changed my dressing style, more fashion, cuz I know that being concentrated is cooool~and I love it.

But I really had a tough time before I got these. When I speak English only, my roommates looked down on me, my parents don’t understand, when I wanna use my native language I can’t. And that’s not the worst, I even started to doubt my teacher, David. I thought he was just a businessman due to the boring indoor class. Although he told us at first time that we should talk to him if we have some trouble or problems, I didn’t. According to this in my mind , I didn’t join most of our activities. Cuz as we all know, we gotta cost a lot as long as we hang out together which is not helpful in English learning(that’s what we thought).
Time flies. Luckily, our outdoor activities started to grad my interests when I felt bored. We went to the biggest restaurant in JiNan, went to the BeiJing, climb mountains, jogging plan, surviving plan, TA plan. These activities let me feel that maybe I misunderstand my teacher’s idea. It’s true that we will spend money, there’s no doubt that we can get closer to each other, during the activities, we share, laugh, smile, cry, hug with each other. Gradually, I found that I’ve already get addicted to this feeling. I started to understand that we are not just learning English, we are mastering abilities.
In our life, we will meet range of difficulties, we need to handle by ourselves, we come together because of English, we grow together by learning English, we struggle together by making activities. After I got this idea, I started to trust David, he is a successful man.

And now, finally, I got the spirit of Five Steps that is Enjoy your life. We only have a chance to live in this world, we have to find the meaning of our life. We cannot influenced by the world, be yourself. What did u feel when you go back to dorm and see your roommates are playing the PCgames? And you just finished a very great trip with your English partners, I bet you will take part in more and more activities to fulfill your college life. That’s what I’m doing now, That’s what I wanna let you know.
Now, I decide, I’m gonna follow Five Steps for a long time because I know I can gain friendship, happiness and difficulties here. This is a good place to go.
