TIAMAT是一支来自瑞典的乐队——你也可以不称其为乐队，因为乐队的方向一直都是由一个人把握着，而其他成员总是处于变动之中，这一点颇象大名鼎鼎的DEATH。乐队成立已逾十年，发行了六张录音室专辑，一张现场，一张精选。十年间乐队的风格不断变化，让人难以捉摸。早期是纯粹的死亡金属，后期乐队大量运用了合成器，电脑编曲，这一点最典型的代表就是乐队于1997年发表的专辑《A DEEPER KIND OF SLUMBER》。但是乐队的主题一直没有改变，就是表达一种阴暗失落的感觉，讲述一种没有希望的情绪。
