Preface
Jamie Isaac has uploaded more than 10 soundtracks on his website since September, 2011. All of the musical material is made in his bedroom. Although there’re some short parts or unfinished pieces in the works, they’ve all shown the experimental and innovative spirit. He always fuses some different genres of music in his works. In his music, you can hear the elements of blues, Jazz, Electronic, Post-rock, Minimalism, Ambient,etc. Jamie’s clearly a creative and prolific songwriter. His music is full of sense of space and silence plays an important role in all of the music. Following his musical stream, you can find that the young musician’s showing a strong determination to experiment and try out new techniques.

It’s the first track of Jamie Isaac that he uploaded it on his musical website in September, 2011. This is the longest song I’ve ever heard and the length of the stream is more than 7 minutes. I thought I fell into love with it as soon as the song played. There’s a delicate structure in the song: a floating beginning, a haunting and poignant voice, a melodious piano section with the thoughtful ambient space, a poetic and moody ballad, etc. all parts of the song are gorgeous and moved deeply. Jamie used electronics to create a hushed and soulful atmosphere skillfully in the song. I can’t believe that he wrote the song when he was only 17 years old.
