这个分析太赞wwww
jensen的欲情故纵,为什么他要叫“stop it stop it~~~”My absolute favorite thing about this?
THEIR HANDS.
So telling!
Misha’s still just lightly touching Jensen’s face. It’s not like his hands are wrapped behind Jensen’s head and neck and PULLING Jensen in.
Meanwhile, Jensen’s left hand is gripping Misha’s sleeve and his right hand is haphazardly flopping around in a kind of feeble-looking mockery of protest.
What does this tell you?
If Jensen had wanted to, he could have totally gotten out of this situation. He could have yanked his head back out of Misha’s hand, instead of moving it with Misha’s hand towards Misha’s crotch. He could have used his hands to actually PUSH Misha away. (READ: THIS WAS NOT UNWANTED.)
Jensen’s feebleness and Misha’s gentleness make me think they were both still attempting to be in character as Dean and Cas here. If that so, then they were having fun with the part in the script where Cas reaches towards Dean to heal him and Dean says “No, Cas, No.” because he thinks Cas is about to finish him off and kill him. That’s why Jensen’s saying “No” and “Stop.” It’s in the script.
THIS IS NOT MISHA ASSAULTING JENSEN. So calm down.
It’s also clear that they’re both aware of how sexually charged this scene was as written, otherwise they’d feel no need to fill in the action with innuendo like this. If they were aware of this as actors, then those of us who saw Destiel magic onscreen in these moments of 8x17 weren’t hallucinating or reading into anything.
It’s a good day to be a Destiel shipper, and even better day to be a Cockles shipper.
Because if Cockles wasn’t what it is, there is NO WAY two dudebros would joke around this way — even in a sexually charged scene.Dudebros make fun of sexually charged or romantic scenes with other men by becoming more effeminate or blatantly flirting in girlish ways while raising the pitch of their voices. (Case in point: In the scene in this gag reel where Sam asks Dean why he was still praying to Cas, Dean pretends to tear up and says “Give me a moment… Because he’s my friend.” in a higher-pitched voice. There are other outtakes like this between Jensen and Jared as well.) It’s their way of showing what a GIRL would do in the situation as a way of reasserting that what they WILL ACTUALLY DO is
much more masculine. That way, the dudebro relationship is not threatened by perceived gayness or sexual attraction, but remains always and forever safely in the FRIENDS category.
This scene in this gif is NOT THAT. Jensen is not acting more effeminate, not joking around the way you would expect him to if Misha was just a dudebro friend. Instead, he’s being quite masculine even during the sexually-charged scene, entering into a dominance fight with Misha about the proximity of Misha’s crotch. (Yet, as I said above, not a real fight at all given what we see of their hands.) In other words, he’s clearly NOT THAT UNCOMFORTABLE with this sexually charged situation itself. If he has any issues at all, it’s with how to keep Dean (who never says I Love You) in character during an obviously romantic scene.
That tells us that both Misha and Jensen are actually comfortable here, enjoying this shoot, enjoying the play for dominance and submission, enjoying the sexually-charged atmosphere.
EVERYTHING IS COCKLES AND NOTHING HURTS.
