1、Damon and McConaughey getting into a sloppy brawl on the ice-world 2、So there*s this big dustbowl thing that happens all the time, film opens up on "interviews" of old people (you*ll find out who they are later) talking about all the crazy bullshit. McC (keeping it that just to make things simple) is a former NASA pilot that never went beyond the Earth*s atmosphere. He*s smart, has a daughter and a son. Corn is pretty much the only viable resource anymore and anything else is suffering from something called "Blight". His daughter keeps saying there is a ghost in her room but McC isn*t having it. However, on a dust storm day he realizes that the dust in her room is falling in a binary fashion, leaving coordinates. He follows them and finds Secret Nasa. That*s where we meet Alfred and Catwoman and their mission to save the Earth from starvation and suffocation via dust. They bring him along because he*s a good pilot and then they are off. They are supposed to travel via a Wormhole that was set up by other pioneers they sent before. Going through them accelerates the time that they spend and pretty much leaps them forward a few years. They go down to the water planet you see in the trailer, but an hour there is like 7 years or so. They get stranded for a bit and come back to their station to find one of their crew has aged considerably. Now they have to pick which of the two remaining planets to go to. Stupid love story brought up for no reason, they go to ice world. They meet Damon, stuff goes down. They have no fuel when they leave and are forced to basically sling shot around the blackhole to make it through. McC sacrifices himself so that Catwoman can get through and he brings his robot buddy with him. When they fall into the blackhole, it brings them into the fifth dimension where you find out that the "ghost" was really McC trying to kickstart the mission. Then ending with some meaningful stuff. 3、Chastain is Murphy (McC*s daughter) in the future. Alfred lied to him originally about the plans to save Earth. There*s a plan A which involves basically taking the entire secret nasa base up to space or plan B with something called a "population bomb" that incubates fertilized human eggs. Alfred found out half the equation to make plan A work, but ultimately decided it was too hard to figure out the rest and toyed with everyone in order to force plan B to work. The film ends with Catwoman stranded on the planet that she wanted to go to in the first place to find the scientist she loved and McC stealing a "newer" version of the ship (because he*s much further in the future now) to go find her. 4、he*s not a ghost, he*s the ghost that child Murphy references. Then he skips ahead in the fifth dimension to fuck with a watch he gave her, leaving her a morse code in order to bring about a change to the mission. When he does that, he basically forces the fifth dimension to shut down all around him, breaking and bending the space time continuum even more. After it collapses on him he falls through the blackhole even more back to where he started outside of Saturn, floating in the cosmos. A recon ship comes and picks him up and he wakes up in the hospital. He finds out that Murphy is now an old woman but has to come and see him. He goes back to his farm which has been re-built on this Earth like space station that has a weird curve to it (you*ll see) and then he visits Murphy who tells him to go chase after Catwoman, because she no longer needs him. She lived her life, and had a family that loved her. But in a sweet way. They say their goodbyes and that*s that.
