After reaching last year’s Got to Dance Final, Antics are back with their unique blend of dance and fun. “We obviously take dance really seriously,” say the boys. “But we also try and make people laugh and have a really good time while we’re on stage.” We’re sure they’ve got loads more hilarious Antics in store…
Did you know?
Last year Matthew broke his jaw in three places while doing a back-flip - and was unable to perform in the semi-final. Eek!

Buckness Personified

Name: Buckness Personified
Members: Claire, Shan, Nicole, Shan, Duwane, Hela and Mini
Age: 18-29
From: London
Style: Krump
Buckness Personified where an all-female crew until master choreographer Duwane joined and took them to the Got to Dance auditions. While Krumping is usually a freestyle dance, Buckness Personified like to mix up things up by combining Krump with choreography. – aka “Krumpology”!
Did you know?
Duwane is known as the “King of Krump” and is the mastermind behind “Krumpology”.

COLLECTIVE ENT.

Members: Sarah, Louise, Jason, Hamilton, Keron, Agz, Freya Sands, Melody, Jodie Tye, Rebecca, Jaron, Amy, Daniel, Jermaine and Holly. Age: 17-27 From: London Style: Commercial Hip-Hop The brainchild of dancers Hamilton and Keron, Collective Ent are bringing commercial hip-hop to the masses. Everyone in the group has their own style - and that’s what makes Collective Ent different and special. “We always wanted to give something back to people and now we can,” say Hamilton and Kieron. “We don't think of ourselves as a crew, it’s more like one big family.”
Did You Know? Keron is also a graphics wiz kid – he’s just finished at Ravensbourne University where he studied animation.

Dance for Joy

Members: Kate, Emma, Barry, David, Susie, Martin, Rebecca, James and Nick. Age: 28-42 From: London Style: Contemporary Dance Unlimited practice twice a week for two hours at a time, incorporating a range of styles that cater to each member of the group’s personality and capabilities. Formed twenty years ago through the Alessendre Special Needs Dance School, they are already massively popular, having performed in London’s West End as well as in Russia, Germany, France and Florida. Did You Know? David and Rebecca are the couple of the group. They have known each other for 15 years and are engaged.

G-Nome

Members: Jobe Potter, James Revell, Eian Crockatt, Christian Coe, Timo Muller Age: 21-26 From: London Style: Contemporary Are you ready for the science bit? These strapping contemporary jazz dancers are called G-Nome because it’s the name of the full mapping of Human DNA, which runs through everyone - in the same way that dance can! The genes are the dancers and the DNA is the music. It doesn’t take a professor to see that this five-piece could go far! Did You Know? Timo used to be a baton twirler and has taken part in competitions all over Europe

Ruff Diamond

Members: Lewis, Jason, Aaron, Ryan L, Ryan W and Zac Ages: 17-22 From: Hartlepool Style: Street Good pals Ruff Diamond have been on Got to Dance before – but this year they hope to go one step further with the addition of new crew member and certified ladies’ man Lewis. Together they dream of making it big enough to move out of their hometown of Hartlepool and head for the bright lights of London. But can the boys top their stunning audition in the Dance Dome? Watch this space! Did you know? Unlike the rest of the crew, secret weapon Lewis is trained ballet dancer.

Godson

Age: 22 Location: East London Style: Krump Inspired by a school teacher, Godson’s been dancing since he was 15 and has already performed alongside Plan B and Tinie Tempah. So what next? “I want to be the best and have the character and style that will stand out from everyone else participating,” says the confident star-in-the-making. He’s certainly a strong contender… Did you know? Godson, whose real name is Theo, already has his own clothing range – so he’ll certainly look the part at Got to Dance!

Shun

Age: 24 Location: London Style: Experimental breakdance It’s not hard to see why Shun is so different from all the other contestants we’ve had on Got to Dance. The experimental b-boy’s routine is a mix of freestyle and choreography that sees him draw on everything from breaking to contortionism. That requires lots of practice and LOTS of stretching. He’ decided to showcase this style because “people are fighting for originality” and believes it sets him apart from other b-boys. Did you know? When Shun’s not dancing he’s continuing his artistic streak as a graphic designer.
