So lucky, says Zidane

THE afternoon sun was scorching-hot at La Manga, Spain, on Friday.
But the kids, numbering more than 200 and coming from more than over 40 countries, didn't mind.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for most of them.
After all, it's not every day that you get up close and personal with some of football's biggest names, such as Zinedine Zidane, Emmanuel Adebayor, Philipp Lahm and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Better still, some of them even got to play with them.
It was the adidas Predator versus F50 final.
After two days of competition, the two top teams from each camp finally emerged.
Not only did they play in a purpose-built mini stadium which overlooked the Mediterranean Sea.
They had help from the stars, too.
Zidane captained Predator FC, which was coached by AC Milan's Carlo Ancelotti, while Adebayor skippered F50 Club de Futbol, which was coached by Vicente Del Bosque.
Singapore footballers Mustafic Fahrudin (Predator) and Isa Halim (F50) also turned up for the final.
In the end, Predator FC won 11-9.
Said Zidane: 'I'm pleased to be here.
'I didn't have the opportunity as a kid to take part in a tournament like this.
'They are very lucky to be able to enjoy an event like this. It's nice to see a mix of people from all over the world coming together.'
