
6. If you write your best papers the night before they are due, don't let people tell you that you "should be more organized" or that you "should plan better." Different things work for different people. Personally, I worked best under pressure - so I always procrastinated... and always kicked ass (which annoyed my friends to no end). ;-) Use the freedom that comes with not having grades first semester to experiment and see what works best for you. 如果你在快要交差时熬夜赶出来的论文最好,那就别在乎别人说你“你该学会安排时间”或者“有计 划更好”。每个人都有不同的工作方式。就我而言,我在压力下做得更好,所以我很拖沓= =,而且总是弄砸(?)(这让我的朋友发无名火XDDD)好好利用第一学期不打分数的自由吧,去经历不同的事然后找出最好的适合你的方式。
7. At least a few times in your college career, do something fun and irresponsible when you should be studying. The night before my freshman year psych final, my roommate somehow scored front row seats to the Indigo Girls at a venue 2 hours away. I didn't do so well on the final, but I haven't thought about psych since 1993. I've thought about the experience of going to that show (with the guy who is now my son's godfather) at least once a month ever since. 在大学至少有那么几次放 纵享乐,无视你本来应该在学习。在我大一精神科期末考前夜,我的室友居然搞到蓝色少女合唱团的前排票,而演出的地点要两小时路程。我期末考表现不怎么样, 但在1993年之后我从未怀念考试,我只怀念去看演出的经历(还是和现在我儿子的教父一起去的),而且从那以后每个月都想起那么一两次。
