Mario Paglino and Gianni Grossi began displaying and selling their creations at Italian doll shows in 2000. Taking the first letters of their first names and the year, they came up with the name of their business — Magia 2000. Their customized dolls quickly became collector favorites. Magia 2000’s design of the Film Noir™ Barbie® doll was sparked by their passion for the glamour of Hollywood — particularly the iconic elegance of the legendary screen stars of the 1940's and 1950s.
