If I had my life to live over
Today I watched a documentary called A View of London, which was made by BBC. The most impressive part of the documentary was that an old lady was standing on the balcony and singing a song that I had never heard before. I was attracted by the lyrics of the song.
If I had my life to live over
I would still do the same things again
I would still like to roam
To the place we call home
Where memories will ever remain
I’ll meet you when the school days are over
And we’ll stroll down the lane we once knew
If I had my life to live over
I’d still fall in love with you
I used to think: what kind of person I’ll be when I grow up? What kind of life I’ll live when I get old? Am I a funny cute old lady instead of a trouble maker? I don’t know but actually I wonder. Because I want to know if everything I am doing is correct, if the things I am fighting for are worth fighting. I’m afraid that I will disappoint people who care me, including myself. I’m afraid that it’s not until I am old that I realize my wrong choice. So I can’t help imagining that if I had my life to live over, what would happen.
I would not care about my parents’ broken marriage any more. I would be more careful and humbler. I would take care of my body and keep fit. I would dress up myself to be a lovely girl. I would be shy in front of my boy or my girl when he or she said that I were beautiful. If I had my life to live over, I would still love painting, believe in freedom, but I would live more gracefully. I would do the things I want to, non-profit-making. Yeah this is LIFE, not SURVIVAL.
In past 15 years in my life, I have met a lot of setbacks that even some of them make me feel hopeless. However, the crueller the fact is, the stronger you have to be. I know that perfect romantic life is non-exist. I still need to survive. So no matter what the fact is, the only thing I can do is to fight for my life. This is the truth. Therefore, if I had my life to live over, I’m sure that I would make the same decision.
