Jared Leto is fully invested in The Dallas Buyers Club. The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman dons a fur coat and full makeup to play a cross-dresser battling AIDS opposite Matthew McConaughey, whose dramatic weight loss—at least 30 pounds to date—has been making headlines. Based on a true story, McConaughey plays Ron Woodrfuff, a heterosexual womanizer who contracted the AIDS virus in 1986 and went on to help legalize the drug cocktails that were once nearly impossible to obtain but have since helped thousands of HIV-positive individuals lead healthy lives. Leto‘s character, Rayon, helps Ron in his quest to smuggle drugs in from Mexico—a mission that leads him into a confrontation with the FDA. The 40-year-old rocker-actor (who’s no stranger to a little in-concert eyeliner) appears to have maintained his usual weight, give or take whatever the wig and pantyhose have added.
