41楼是开发人员Omnipotententity的回应，其他（应该是）英语为母语的玩家也给了意见。
Omnipotententity:
“It can and does take both meanings. Bound (as in captivated or captured) by the stars and bound (as in journeying or destined) for the stars. We intentionally left it ambiguous because it's more poetic that way. Sorry it doesn't translate well.
Feel free to translate it in any manner you feel best captures these ideas. ”
简单翻译：游戏名中的-bound可以指被星空“吸引”或“捕捉”，在我理解中是指玩家在星际间穿梭等等。同时-bound也可以理解为“朝向，目的地为”，指玩家前往新行星探险。制作组起名时就考虑到了bound的多义。
但我在原帖中提出了bound指boundary（边缘=星际边缘，现在所谓确定的翻译）之意的可能性，开发人员的回应中不置可否，但对其他两种含义的承认就使“边缘”一意失色。其他玩家大都支持“朝向”一意，而对“边缘”的回应则有“星际没有边缘所以感觉不对劲”之类。
有人给出了以前讨论翻译问题的帖子：

回应以“朝向”为主。
所以我认为“星际边缘”以及其余将bound解释为“边缘”一类意思的翻译都不妥。
