On a summer's eve in Tallinn (original title literally means "we will not sleep
tonight,"), bad cop Harri (Finnish actor Peter Franzen) arranges a hit on his rich wife Evelin (Mariya Avdyushko). But at her local cafe, philandering tennis player
Leo (Veikko Taar) gets it in the chest instead, a hit witnessed by Evelin, Leo's
g.f. Alis (Dior-model Carmen Kass, leered over by the camera) and teenager
Kristofer (Pritt Voigemast). Harri hires the hit men to take out all three, but
their prey give them the run around all over town. While Roy Andersson's usual
d.p. Istvan Borbas acquits himself well with the noirish lensing, editing
credited to the respected Michael Duthie is an embarrassment, particularly pic's
use of flashbacks for incidents that happened just moments before.
