PLATINI: Strictly speaking it was a World Cup year. The first logical place is Italian, the second one is French, and the third German. But any opinion in the matter is subjective.
INT: Zidane failed to finish first because, I believe, this is the price of what he has done to Materazzi in the World Cup final.
PLA: I don't think that a man who has won so many prizes in his life, including three best player awards, would think this is a very significant loss.

PLA: Because we live in different apartments! (Laughs) No, seriously, I live in Paris and he lives in Madrid. We were not in contact during the World Cup.
