I do not agree about the decision that PE and Arts lessons
should not be offered any more because of the following reasons. For one thing,
test scores cannot reflect all the qualities of a person; for another, physical
fitness and artistic taste are also important. Also, a study showed that
keeping doing the same thing for a long time would have some psychological impacts on students, thereby reducing their studying efficiency. Furthermore, under this semi-compulsory management, students might be weary of studying. Therefore,
students’ effective learning will be undermined.
