i suspect most players would kiss the badge of any club to offer them favourable financial terms…or am i a cynic.

yet the United fans (all with Essex accents) bellowed relentlessly in tuneless song of their loathing for scousers. It was puzzling.
i just watched the arsenal/united match at a pub in Eastbourne – which is about as far from Liverpool as you can be whilst still in england.
