【新闻】Has the Celestial Court descended upon us?! Bountiful

We spied a little pretty fairy when we visited our wardrobe area this week. It’s been a while since we had one dropping by MediaCorp.


But even fairies get hot and thirsty and before long, she was seen gulping down a drink halfway during her imaging session. Wearing layers of clothes isn’t a good idea in Singapore’s sweltering heat, as you can imagine.


Apart from a fairy, we also stumbled upon a celestial guard (check out his huge armour), and…. an Ah Beng?!!

That’s right! Our Ah Ge Ping Hui is playing an ah beng this time round, which will be a big change from his cool, manly characters we are used to seeing. He plays a lackadaisical ah beng chef who grows to become a great help to the restaurant he is working, called “Wan Fu Lou”. Isn’t he adorable in his ah beng look, from his dyed hair to his thick metal chain? I think there’s an “ah beng” in all of us. Embrace it!


He will also be donning a 古装 scholar outfit, which is such a hoot! Just look at him!

As for our pretty Ann Kok, she will not be just playing a fairy, but she’ll be having a slew of other outfits. We’ll be providing you more pictures and updates on Ann and the rest of the cast in the next few weeks!
