0000081001【Maggie☆】She is the only actress I know who can walk in one direction and be acting with her head in the reverse direction. I’ve always found that hysterically funny. She has immense physical grace, which is why I like to catch her on the move. On a bad day - and I try not to photograph her if she’s unhappy, or not ready - she shrinks, in face and body. But when she feels good, and that’s the ideal time to photograph anyone, she positively blossoms. She looks like a wonderful peach. Whether she’s conscious of that or not I don’t know. I wouldn’t dream of discussing it with he00001In the space of 50 minutes she performed the monologue, and was extremely funny (“... Geoffrey’s bad enough…but I’m glad I wasn’t married to Jesus…”), but in an instant she silenced the entire audience, moved many to tears, and in the last 10 minutes you could hear a pin drop in that very small studio theatre, with Smith standing only feet away. I still remember the lengthy pause at the very end before people felt they could applaud.——Chichester Festival Theatre10101【Maggie☆】Dame Maggie Smith was among a select few privileged people invited to join the Queen and Prince Philip at Windsor Castle on Monday evening. The 80-year-old visited Her Majesty's Berkshire residence for a special 'dine and sleep' event, where guests dine together before staying the night. The event happened during Easter Court, an annual occurrence which sees the Queen take up residence at Windsor Castle for a month between March and April. As well as hosting her 'dine and sleep' events, the Queen also holds investitures during her month at the castle.00000200【Maggie☆】Well she got me the job at Potter, practically, so for anyone who doesn’t know that story, I basically owe everything to Maggie Smith because I worked with her on David Copperfield and then she came over to Potter as McGonagall and said to the director, you need to audition this boy. —Daniel Radcliffe0100300
